How to Give an Erotic Foot Massage

 - Feet massaging technique

The foot is one of the least appreciated but most highly sensitive part on your partner's body. It also sees the most abuse. How often do you wish someone would rub your feet after a long day? Giving your lover's feet some attention is a nurturing and naturally erotic thing to do.
I'll be describing one way to give an erotic foot massage, but there are many more ways to give a good rub. Many of the techniques I describe are used by professional massage therapists, only here the right emphasis makes them both relaxing and erotic.
Begin by getting your partner comfortable. Sit on the floor with them in their favorite chair, or on the couch or bed with a pillow placed under their knees. Taking your time is one of the most important things in giving a good foot massage. A fast foot rub feels forced and anything but erotic. Start with warmed oil or lotion spread evenly in your palms (a few seconds in the microwave works), not directly on their skin, and focus on one foot at a time. Stroke your hands forward from the ankle and over the tops of her feet, letting your thumbs curve underneath to hug the balls (part closest to her toes).
The instep is a particularly ticklish and sensitive part of the foot, and where many people feel the most muscle tension. Stroke upwards here with alternating thumbs, while still cupping the rest of his foot with your hands. Take note of the folds of your partners sole, and trace them with your fingertips. A very light touch can feel ticklish, so alternate that with a deeper rub. Using your palms to rub the foot's insteps in circular motions is also good for tension release. If you lover isn't too ticklish, separate his toes with your fingers as if you were clasping hands. A rocking, sliding motion between the toes feels very intimate. After that, gently pull up on each toe with a ringing, twisting stroke, beginning with the smallest and working your way up to the big toe. Stroking upward along the big toe with it nestled between your thumb and index finger is a move that can send your partner into orbit.
Repeat these techniques on your lover's other foot and finish by rubbing your entire hands upwards against their feet. Your lover's feet should be completely relaxed and their senses aroused. Further massage play can involve using edible oil or warming oil. Once you and your lover are comfortable making the feet an erotic part of play there are many options to explore.

Deep Tissue Massage Relieves Muscle Pain

Getting to the Bottom of Things

To understand this type of massage, it is first important to have a more thorough understanding of your body. If you have been injured at some point in the past, or even if you typically hold a certain part of your body very tensely, you'll find that bands of rigid tissue will form.
These bands of tissue are known as adhesions and they are very inflexible.
Because they do not bend with the rest of your muscles, tendons or ligaments, they can be very difficult to work around, and you'll find that you will experience limited movement, some pain and some problems with circulation if they are allowed to exist.
In extreme cases, they can even create inflammation.

What is Deep Tissue Massage?

Deep tissue massage is essential massage therapy that will get right to the heart of things! Essentially, the pressure that is applied during deep tissue massage will cut straight through to the deeper layers of muscle and tissue.
Not only will the massage be more thorough, it will also hit a level of the body where more chronic aches and cramps live.
Many people try swedish massage therapy in the hopes that it will affect things like a tightness in the lower back, or a constant pinched feeling in the neck, but find that they don't have any luck until they try deep tissue massage.
This is because of the fact that deep tissue massage will penetrate to a level where these aches actually are.

What to Expect from Deep Tissue Massage

If you are looking to try a session of deep massage therapy, there are a few things that you should keep in mind. The first is that the strokes and movements that are used in other forms of massage therapy are repeated here, but the pressure is a great deal more concentrated and the movements will be a great deal slower as well.
Deep Tissue MassageYou'll find that this pressure might be uncomfortable at first, but many people will quickly adjust.
Other people find that they need to ask the massage therapist to ease up a little, which is perfectly appropriate due to the fact that everyone has a different amount of tolerance for pain and pressure.
You'll find that in deep tissue massage, your massage therapist will apply pressure or friction across the grain of the muscles.
This essentially breaks down what adhesions have formed and you'll find that after a deep tissue massage, you'll feel a great deal more loosened up.
You may even feel warmer, due to the fact that adhesions can restrict circulation and deep tissue massage will restore it.
During this process, some pain may be experienced, but make sure to let your massage therapist know what you are feeling.
When you go in for your appointment, make sure that your therapist has a thorough idea of your medical history, whether you suffer from chronic pain in a specific area, or you have been injured before.
It is very important that any medical conditions that you have are made known to whoever is treating you.
Not only can this save you undue pain by having them take some care around a sore spot, it will also tell them what areas they should work on and where their work will be most appreciated.

Different Sports Massage Techniques

Although sports massage might seem like a modern benefit for high-priced athletes it's actually a therapy that's been practiced for centuries and, in fact, the ancient Spartans used massage techniques to optimize the effectiveness of their warriors over 2500 years ago. In effect, some of the massage techniques used back then are still used to this day as many of the basic movements are common across all styles of massage.

One type of massage called Effleurage is usually applied with a flat palm and utilizes the fingers and palm to make a long gliding stroke of medium pressure. This is a common technique used on sports figures as well as average people. Using this technique, the masseur works the muscles by gliding firmly over them in one direction and then using a different path in the other direction. The hands follow the natural contours of the part of the body that is being worked on.

The style of massage uses increasing pressure to relax tense muscles and encourage blood flow. The skin and muscles are warmed by the massage itself and when the blood flow opens up, the muscles can get more oxygen and nutrients as well as be able to get rid of toxins more easily. This creates an overall healthful effect for the athlete.

Petrissage is the type of massage you want if you have a knot or muscle pain in one particular area and is effective as a sports massage therapy. This technique uses a more focused kneading action of the fingertips and thumb and works the deeper muscle tissue. It's better for the larger muscle groups like the thigh and the back but can work on smaller groups such as the neck and shoulders as well. As the knotted muscles are worked blood flow to the muscle is restored as well as the flow of lymphatic fluid. The masseur uses the thumb and forefinger is to find trigger points and knotted muscles that they can work on. Repeated rubbing over that spot will help the muscle release the knot and can be quite satisfying.

These massage techniques need to bechanged according to the person they are being performed on. Not only are the individuals all different from one another, but the sports themselves use the muscles differently and so different injuries and stresses can happen. Some techniques that can be used with good results on one athlete may not have good results on the next.

As we all know, most athletes can push themselves too hard and many of them can benefit from a good sports massage which will help relax them and heal the muscles. In addition, some of the techniques like shiatsu massage can work on the joints and tendons that may be damaged by excessive sports.

Chair Massage

It is a method of muscle manipulation, pressure point therapy and energy balancing applied to specific points throughout the body while the client is comfortably seated in a chair specifically designed for this purpose.

What makes chair massage different from other more familiar table-based massage techniques?

  • The session is performed at your location so no time is lost in transit.
  • Chair Massage is un-intrusive. During the session the client is positioned fully clothed (no disrobing is required) and comfortably seated in a massage chair.
  • No oil or cream is used during the session.
  • In just 10 - 20 minutes, you can experience complete relaxation through the release of stress and tension.
  • Special attention is focused on the 7 most common high stress areas including the scalp, neck, shoulders, back, arms, hands and fingers.
  • You can return to work immediately.

On-Site Chair massage can provide a relaxing and therapeutic experience for your staff and clientele in many ways including:

  • Alleviate stress, tension, pain, stiffness, and mental fatigue
  • Relieve aching muscles
  • Sooth nerves and boost morale
  • Increase mental clarity
    Renew ability to concentrate
  • Heighten productivity
  • Enhance creativity, energy, and focus
  • Heighten sense of value and appreciation
  • Elevate levels of natural "feel-good" endorphins

The Relaxing Effects Of The Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation and metabolism. Each 1 ½ -hour hot stone massage therapy session promotes deeper muscle relaxation through the placement of smooth, water-heated stones at key points on the body. Our professional massage therapists also incorporate a customized massage, with the use of hot stones which offers enhanced benefits.
The premise behind hot stone massage therapy is that the direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to their deeper muscle layers. Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a very healing and effective experience. The hot stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body. The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.
Benefits of Hot Stone Envy:
  • Provides relief from pain associated with fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and other chronic conditions
  • Decreases pain and muscle spasms
  • Reduces chronic stress and tension
  • Increases flexibility in joints, aiding in easier mobility and movement
  • Relieves pain and tension created by strained and contracted muscles

 What is hot stone massage?

Hot stone massage is a special massage, that uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt,a black volcanic rock, that absorbs and retains heat well, but they can be other types.

The heat is both deeply relaxing and helps tight muscles release.
What Happens During a Hot Stone Massage?
Before you arrive, the massage therapist sanitizes the stones (very important!) and heats them in 120 to 150 degree water.
During the massage, the therapist warms up the body with traditional Swedish massage, then massages you while holding a heated stone. As the stone cools, the therapist replaces it with another.
The therapist might also leave heated stones in specific points along your spine, in the palms of your hand, on your belly, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body.

If you have inflammation or muscle injury, cold stones are sometimes used.
How Much Does a Hot Stone Massage Cost?
A hot stone massage is more expensive than a basic massage because it requires more preparation and clean-up and usually runs longer.

How To Give A Neck Massage and Shoulder Massage in Simple Steps

Having a neck massage or a shoulder massage is a great way to relieve the tension that often happens due to stresses from life and work. Today, with many people sitting hunched over computers all day long the need for these massages is growing. Unfortunately, not everyone can run to the massage therapist after hard day at work and for those people here are some tips on how your spouse can help by giving you a home massage.

It's great if you have a massage table at home but if you don't you could simply have the massage recipient lie down on the floor using a soft piece of carpet or a mat for comfort. Get them to be relaxed by taking deep breaths. Have the person lie in their back and put a rolled up towel just below the base of the neck right along the top of the back. This will help stretch out those muscles that often get cramped in that area.

Now kneel above the person's head and cradle the head gently turning it slightly in one direction. Gently knead the chest muscles - most people don't think to do this but there is often a correlation between the front muscles and the ones at the same level in the back so a lot of times at the chest muscles are tight they can cause the neck and back to be tight as well.

With the head still turned in one direction gently rub the neck muscles down to the trapezius muscle which is at the top of the back. Switch hands, turning the head in the other direction and giving the neck massage to the other side of the neck. Use the tips of your fingers to make small circles around the neck muscles and shoulders resulting in a good shoulder massage.

Now have the person lay on the select and repeat the massaging motions. One new fingers down the length of the back and up again in a raking motion.

A good neck massage and shoulder massage will help relieve tension in this area and relax the recipient. Using firm strokes that glide along the muscles will help achieve this. Take your time and slowly work the muscles out from the center of the neck and all along the shoulder and upper back as sometimes the source of tension can be in the outer areas.

Massage points for neck pain

A pain in the neck is one of the most uncomfortable conditions.  It often occurs when we are sleeping in a poor position for long periods of time leading to tightness and stiffness in the neck muscles. However any condition that causes the muscles to tighten can lead to pain.
When the neck muscles strain and tighten the cervical vertebrae can become compressed or twisted, which can aggravate its nerve roots.  This can case radiating pain that travels to the upper back, down the arm or up into the head.
neck and shoulder massage pointsThe neck and shoulders are a functional unit that share the same musculature. Thus tension in the shoulders is directly related the tension and pain in the neck. Massage is a very effective way of reducing the tightness in the neck muscles and relieving the pain.
Below is a list of massage points that are effective for releasing neck and shoulder tension.  Though this is not an extensive chart these are areas that are commonly affected in neck tightness and pain.  You may be able to reach around your shoulder and perform self massage with your fingers or a tennis ball. However, if you are having severe neck pain you should seek the help of a professional.
These regions relate to acupuncture points.  If you are interested in a more detailed description of acupuncture you should seek a good reference book.

A)Are points along the upper trapezius muscle.  This maybe the most common area for muscle strain.  The lower point can release pain from the shoulder to the head.  Ti relates to the point GB 21.  (this is traditionally contraindicated during pregnancy. (Though massage may not have the same effect its worth taking note of).  The upper point is the upper attachment that focuses on releasing tension from the base of the neck.  It relates to the acupuncture point Ub10.

B)Releases tension in the splenius capitis (part of the erector muscles). This is another very common region for soreness and aches.  The upper point relates to Gb 20 in acupuncture and the lower point relates to Ub 11 and Du 14.

Neck and head massage pointsC)These are points along the Levater Scapula.  Often quite tender to the touch these points can release tension from the upper shoulder to the neck.  It relates to the acupuncture points Si 14 and 15.

D)Are all points along the sides of the neck.  They are deep muscles that when stiff greatly affect the movement of the neck.  It includes the scalenes muscle a deep muscle that connects to the sides of the cervical vertebrae. And the splenius cervicis.  The upper point relates to the acupuncture point Tb 16 and the lower region relates to Si 16.

E)are points along the Sternocleidomastoid.  The upper region relates to the acupuncture point Te 17.  The lower attachment relates to the acupuncture points Li 17 – 18 and St 9 – 10.

F)is a point on the Masseter muscle.  This can be used to releasing tension in the jaw and upper neck.  It relates to the point St 6.

Foot massage

Foot Massage and Benefits

Therapeutic massage has a long history in Thailand, with the techniques having passed unchanged down the centuries. Its roots can be traced back to ancient India where Jivaka Komarabhacca, a physician, who was a friend and contemporary of Lord Buddha, established the techniques, that are still used to this day, some 2,500 years ago. Knowledge of massage in Thailand has been handed down by word of mouth across the generations, from father to son, from mother to daughter and from teacher to pupil.

With the advent of a written alphabet, in the reign of King Ramkamhaeng the Great, Thai scholars began to prepare records of all aspects of Thai life and society, and the founding knowledge of what has become Thai massage was inscribed for future generations. Sadly, most of these ancient records were destroyed in 1776 when Thailand's illustrious capital of Ayuthaya was sacked by the Burmese invaders. What little that was left was literally graven in stone when King Rama III, wishing to preserve the ancient traditions, had the remaining texts inscribed on the walls of one of the best known of Bangkok's temples, called Wat Poh.(Wat Chetupon Wimolmangklaram Rajwora Mahawiharn).

Nowadays there are many different kinds of massage practised in Thailand, and of the most interesting of these is foot massage. The theory is simple but the practice is far more complex because the force applied by the fingers must be very carefully and precisely directed to a specific nerve on the foot. Each part of the foot is reputedly linked to another, often distant, part of the body, with influence extending not just to the muscles but also to the vital organs as well.
Learning the basic steps can help you to cure yourself should you have any injury or pain, either externally or within.
  1. Wash the feet thoroughly and adopt a comfortable position that allows you to reach all parts of your foot.
  2. Anoint the feet with a skin lotion for lubrication when carrying out the massage.
  3. Start to push firmly at the base of the 4th toe. The nerve in this location links directly to the heart. Pain when you push in this spot means that there is a problem with the heart and lengthy yet gentle massage will ease the pain and improve the health of the heart.
  4. Pressing at the base of the second toe will stimulate the nerve controlling the lungs and the entire bronchial system that are necessary for breathing.
  5. In between the first and second toes are the nerves that influence the head. If you have a headache, pressure between these toes will soon make the ache pass or may prevent headaches altogether.
  6. Relief of stress in the eyes will be gained by massaging between the third and fourth toes. This may not only relieve tired eye muscles but also improve clarity of vision.
  7. Stretching and pulling the big toe, on either side of the nail will relieve pain in the temples such as may be experienced with sinusitis.
  8. Rotary pressure in the ball of the foot will greatly ease the symptoms of stomachache, and also promotes healing of the kidneys, the bladder and other parts of the excretory system.
  9. Similar pressure applied to the front of the heel is therapeutic in problems of the genital glands of both men and women. It also has similar effects to 8 above
  10. Stretching the skin backwards beneath both sides of the ankle bone is beneficial to the reproductive tracts of both sexes.
  11. Pulling a knuckle backwards along the instep greatly eases pain in the spine, and may help to achieve better posture.
  12. Grasping the foot with both hands, so that the thumbs are between the tops of the first and second, and the fourth and fifth toes, and massaging with the thumb-tips from side to side will alleviate pain in the inner ear and in the chest.
  13. Take a firm hold of the foot, from the outside, with one hand, so that the knuckles of that hand are on top of the inner edge of the foot. Use massage by these and the knuckles of the other hand placed on the inner edge of the foot to stimulate the diaphragm.
  14. Place the thumbs of both hands beneath the heel, and the knuckles of the first finger just beneath the ankle bone. Rhythmically push with the knuckles for relief from sciatic pain and to stimulate the lymphatic system, responsible for clearing the body of bacteria and toxins.
  15. Taking a firm hold of the foot, raising it, and massaging the back of the calf with the free hand is effective in relieving muscle stress in that leg.
  16. With one hand holding the heel and the other enfolding the toes, rotate the foot, without causing pain, to gain an overall sense of relaxation, ease and well-being.

Tips For Giving A Good Back Massage

Everyone likes a good back massage but not everyone can afford to go to the massage therapist when their back hurts. While a professional is your best bet for getting rid of any chronic pain, you or your spouse can learn to give a pretty decent massage for those times when you can't get to your therapist.

Here are some tips on how you can improve your massaging skills and give a great back massage:

One easy way to give the massage is to do what is called "raking". Here you use your fingertips with your fingers spread apart. Start at the shoulder area and move your hands down the back in a raking motion. Move your fingers alongside the spine but not on the spine. Alter the motion so that one hand is going down on one side while the other is going up on the other side.

The fan stroke is another popular massage stroke and uses oil to eliminate friction on the skin. To perform a massage in this fashion you want to have the person lie face down and then kneel with your knees on either side of them. Here you'll be putting pressure on the trapezius and latissiumus dorsi and in order to do that you want to have your fingers facing outward away from the spine with your palms in the middle of the back. Using a fan shaped stroke you want to move your hand up the back to the shoulder blades and then to the outer edge of the body away from the spine. Be sure that you don't put pressure on the spine itself, only alongside it.

The circling hands back massage is also very popular. This massage starts on the lower back and moves up the length of the back. Start with your hands flat and using a gentle counterclockwise motion circle your hand up the back keeping your fingers pointed outwards away from the spine. Use the right hand on the right side of the body and the left hand on the left side of the body. Move upwards with one hand, then the other then the first again, repeating as much as you want.

Petrissage is the kneeding of the flesh and muscle and will help to smooth out knots or kinks in your back. This type of massage works on a smaller area and uses fingertips or thumbs to work out the knots. Here you just want to grab the muscle and squeeze, then move to the next muscle working your way around the shoulder area and back. Using oil will decrease the tugging and pinching feeling on the skin.

A good back massage will leave the recipient feeling relaxed. The massaging motion works to improve circulation and blood flow to the muscles, bringing them nutrients and helping them to remove toxins. In this way, massage not only feels good but it's good for you too!

The Health Benefits of A Good Body Massage

Anyone that has had a body massage can vouch for the positive effects as it leaves you relaxed and invigorated at the same time. However, what many people don't realize is that a good massage can do more than just make you feel good right after, it can actually help you improve your health.

Tight muscles happen for number reasons, bad posture, stress, injury, disease and more. These tight muscles can make you feel tired and sluggish but a good massage can help relieve the tension of the muscles. Not only will this help you feel better, but it's actually better for you since tense muscles do not have healthy blood flow. The massage will help increase circulation which will bring more blood and oxygen to the muscles and will also help them get rid of toxins easier.

But stressed out muscles are usually caused by a combination of physical and emotional stresses as well as internal and external factors. If you are stressed out about something, chances are you're probably tensing up your muscles and don't even realize it. Luckily, a good body massage can help work on both these emotional and physical issues.

You can ease external stresses by simply being in a peaceful dimly lit massage room. Sometimes there will be soft music playing and sometimes the oil used will produce an aromatherapy effect which will help relax you. As the therapist works on your tensed muscles, you can just feel the stresses of the day floating away.

Not only will you leave the massage therapy place with more relaxed muscles, your frame of mind will probably be better too. You might find that your mood is elevated and this will actually help you deal with any new stresses you have to face.

A proper body massage will help increase circulation as a therapist will be working directly on areas where fluids get trapped. These are the knotted up or tense areas that you feel in your muscles. The massage will increase blood flow to these areas, releasing toxins and bringing in fresh nutrients that will help your muscles repair themselves and become re energized.

One thing that a lot of people don't think about with a massage is that it might also improve your digestion. Poor circulation as well as stress can hamper good digestion so if you're massage relieves both these problems then your digestive system might respond accordingly.

As soon as you get off the massage table you probably noticed that you have an improved range of motion. This happens particularly with sports massages where they've gone in for a particular problem to be relieved. However, this can be a byproduct of any massage since once you are tensed muscles have been relaxed in your joints have been made more limber you find that you suddenly have a better range of motion.

Massage has been used in the East for centuries as part of an overall health treatment plan and even here in the West were finding that they can help to fight some diseases and illnesses. Oftentimes people who suffer from arthritis or those who have had surgery frequently report that incorporating massage into the recovery program is quite helpful.

Another thing about body massage that we tend to not think about here in the West is the healing power that comes with touch. Massage therapists know about this and use everything in their tool bag to give you optimum health.
